Software for residential and day care providers
The client provides a range of flexible and responsive support for people with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions and for older people; including people with dementia. This includes residential and day care facilities at a number of locations.
When they approached us they were using shared spread sheets to record attendance at day care and residential sessions and hold client details. They wanted a software system to allow them to enter information about their clients and next of kin. The bespoke system would need to allow them to enter data on each care session location and each session at that location, as well as book the clients in to sessions and record actual attendance.
The new online database application for this care provider would also need to allow the users to record whether the client would need transport to and from the sessions and a meal during.
One of the main aims was to use the data to produce accurate attendance reports for the main care funder. Another key benefit was attendance forecasting that helped to organise staff resources effectively.
The system allows users to set up 'recurring session' records so that sessions held regularly at a location for any given service type can be automatically created on a rolling basis. Any client linked to that recurring session who is still within their current contract period is booked into that newly created future session. This lets administrators see the likely attendance up to 2 months in advance and plan accordingly.
